This section includes certain decisions by local tribunals that reflect the importance of respecting freedom of expression as protected in the Convention. The Special Rapporteur for Freedom of Expression believes that publicizing comparative case law from countries of the hemisphere will be useful for judges who are called to decide similar cases in their own jurisdictions.
