The objective of this compilation is to serve as a guide for users of the interamerican system. It includes the various declarations, conventions, and protocols that spell out the mandate and functions of the organs of the system -the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights-, as well as the obligations of the Member States of the Organization of American States (hereinafter "the OAS" or "the Organization") in the field of human rights.
